Andrew Coley, the voice of World Rallycross, is set to swap the microphone for a steering wheel and contest the coveted season finale Rallycross Grand Prix at Croft circuit on 11th October.
He will be behind the wheel of Craig Lomax’s team Extreme’s Championship winning S1600 Citroen C2R2.
Coley’s rallycross experiance started earlier this year when he drove in the Latvian Lada challenge. He then made his British Rallycross debut in an RX150 at a wet Round 7 held at Lydden Hill in August this year. He didn’t need much convincing to take up the offer of a seat for the Grand Prix. The challenge for Coley will be to tame the extra power that a Super 1600 car has to offer.
‘I’m incredibly grateful to Craig (Lomax) for entrusting me with his S1600 championship winning machine. All my previous rallying experience was in front wheel drive cars, but the C2 has a lot more power than I’m used to, so I’m really excited to see how the car feels and how I get on.’
